EOY 2015 & A Short In-House November Vacation

My parents leaving me alone for a week to visit other families was always better for me than going a vacation. After their return yesterday, I thought I must compile the past week into a blog. And for 2015 to end having just a month more, the year overall (vovaroll for Mallus) almost (volmost) passed in a wink (ving) with November (Novampar) being one of my besties of all.

The first night was powerless – Yes from 10 PM to 3 PM the next day! That didn’t make me slow – I simply grabbed a quarter of Old Monk Dark Rum, mashed up a few boiled eggs with a generic dried gravy / boiled egg bhurji, got the new Cadbury Bubbly Chocolate Bar with Cranberry Juice. And the Oscar Awards that night were as below:

And the next night as well, was powerless. Thanks to MSEB – Maharashtra State Electricity Board who for the first time in recent history ensured that the public will have their Pre-Diwali (Dibavali) preparations done in the dark. *slams*

So the next night was a better planned one, where I paid more attention to the ambience (ampiens) too. And yes, power was off from 10 PM to 2 AM. Thank you MSEB!

Of course anybody will say that Pineapple + Dark Rum is one of the worst combos. Mercy, mercy! Ran short on options at the 11th hour, but wasn’t too bad!

And then came that first day of my life – when I visited a Vegan Hotel (2-star backyard kinds), and spent Rs. 440/- including taxes on a solo meal. Goodness gracious! That figure is enough to get screwed at the next cousins’ party where spending THAT MUCH cash for a SOLO meal WITHOUT meat / eggs / fish is considered to be waste of money. Well, as a debut stunt I pulled it off pretty well. Below’s the amazing sumptuous Parathas (Porota) stuffed with Mix Veg Keema, with Stuffed Tomatoes as a side-dish to it from the 80’s famed Vasu Hotel at Pradhikaran. And not to mention the famed Dahi Kebabs from a Lucknowi chain of restaurants ‘Wah Ji Wah’. Their range of cuisine are too innovative and is a good bet to have a meat lover converted into vegan for life!

Wah Ji Wah Restaurant at Hinjewadi serving Dahi Kebabs could convert a Meat Lover into Vegan for life! Their Dahi Kebabs are too tasty to not try again!

One visit to Smoky Lounge followed by my newfound love for Ambika (Ampiga)  Restaurant’s Daal Khichadi (Taal Gichati) as a perennial night meal was an astonishing experience, apart from being a great self-revelation!

With smoking 10-12 cigarettes in a day being a thing of the recent past, and with the recent average dwindling around 3-4 per day – My new love for any food seems to be a reflection of increased appetite coming out of curbed smoking. Nevertheless, sleep quality has touched new peaks and even those 3-4 cigarettes are done for balancing the withdrawal symptoms (sometimes as bad as fingers feeling a jerk).

And it is not just food or sleep or a few attempts of blood donations – With curbed / zero smoking I am sure to be seen at the next sperm donation camp as well where so ever it fucking happens, and with extra efforts I might as well be able to complete the donation from a mile off the venue! Goodbye 2015!!
